First day at "The Vinny"

We arrived safely in Nashville and picked up our car and headed to Franklin.  As soon athe as we checked into our room we had get ready for a party given by one of the sponsors of the event.
We took the van provided by The Vinny for the 30 minute ride to the party.  We shared the van with Daryle Lamonica and his wife Mary.  For those of you who do not keep up with football, he played college ball for Notre Dame and pro ball for the Oakland Raiders.   Nice, nice man.  Had a good visit with them on the way there and back.
Dick and Charlena Miller held tonight's party in their home and they are back door neighbors to Vince Gill.  He and Amy were not at the pary, nor could you see their house from the party.  It had a beautiful backyard and a lot of trees for privacy.
The home was beautiful and the food was awsome.  It actualy turned out to be a small birthday party for one of the friends of the Miller's who is involved with The Vinny.  So there was cake!!  And the cutest party favors, which we love to take home with us.
On the way back home is was raining pretty heavily. I know, you folks at home need it.  Plus it was 71 degrees here when we got here and in the 60's now.  It is going to be really cool.  We think we did not bring warm enough clothes.  I guess we will be shopping tomorrow.
Saturday night there will be a paring party, where the golfers find out which celebrities and which pros they will be playing with.  It is dinner and there will be entertainment, of course by Vince Gill and many others.
I will post pictures of tonight in the morning, these girls are already in bed and I need to hit the sack too.
Before I turn in I need to tell you that there are three of us this year.  Janie invited her good friend Rosie Shetler to join us.  She is a golfer herself and is loving this as much as we are.
Well, thats the skinny on everything so far.
